Business Portrait Head Shots for My Dad

My parents were finishing up their new house in Fargo, ND and were kind enough to fly us out there for 10 days in June. (Fargo is where I was born and raised and, as such, has a special place in my heart.) Meredee and I were excited to see their beautiful house and spend time relaxing with the family. We also visited my brother Paul and his wife Leah in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and saw their sweet downtown apartment. Paul, who deserves huge congratulations, just started a job at Gallup Consulting after working his tail off to get his MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Toward the end of my time in Fargo, my dad and I worked together on his business portrait head shots. He had been wanting photos that were professional, yet casual and friendly. He thought too many business portraits were stiff and uninviting, and I had to agree. We photographed around the house as well as in downtown Fargo near the office of the company he owns, Premiere Benefits Group. He was thrilled with the results and that put a smile on my face.

I love my dad very much and owe him a great deal. He has been the single greatest influence on my life and I can never thank him enough for what he instilled in me as a child. Seeing him and my mom for 10 days has been the highlight of my year and it was difficult to say goodbye to them. Both of them cried at the airport, which made me cry as well. I’m very fortunate to have such wonderful parents and look forward to future visits to Fargo.
